Job Overview
We are seeking a proactive and experienced Day Team Leader to oversee daily operations within our care home. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, supervisory experience, and a genuine passion for senior care. As a key member of our team, you will coordinate staff, ensure the delivery of excellent care plans, and foster a positive environment for both residents and staff.
Responsibilities
- Supervise and support care staff during daytime shifts, ensuring high standards of care delivery.
- Lead the implementation and review of individual care plans in collaboration with residents, families, and healthcare professionals.
- Promote effective communication among team members to ensure smooth daily operations.
- Monitor compliance with health and safety regulations within the care home environment.
- Assist with staff scheduling, training, and development to maintain a motivated and skilled team.
- Ensure accurate documentation of resident care activities and incident reports using IT systems.
- Support residents’ needs with compassion, dignity, and respect while fostering a warm community atmosphere.
Requirements
- Proven supervising experience within a care home or senior care setting.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and guide a diverse team.
- Valid driving license preferred for transportation responsibilities or errands related to resident needs.
- Excellent communication skills to liaise effectively with residents, families, and healthcare professionals.
- Knowledge of care plans development, review processes, and compliance standards.
- Competency in using IT systems for documentation and reporting purposes.
- Previous experience in supervising staff involved in delivering senior or personal care is essential.
