Responsibilities
- Assist clients with personal care, including bathing, dressing and grooming
- Support clients with daily living activities such as meal preparation, medication support and mobility assistance
- Follow individual care plans to ensure each client's needs are met
- Maintain accurate care records and report any changes to the Care Manager
- Communicate effectively with clients, their families and other healthcare professionals
- Drive clients to appointments or social activities where required, ensuring their safety throughout
- Use IT systems for documentation and communication while maintaining confidentiality
- Attend training sessions and team meetings to develop your skills and knowledge
- Promote clients' independence, dignity and wellbeing at all times
Qualifications
- Previous experience in domiciliary care or a care home setting is preferred but not essential
- A caring, compassionate and reliable attitude
- Good communication skills in English, both written and verbal
- A full UK driving licence and access to your own vehicle is required
- Basic IT skills for completing care documentation
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Flexibility to work variable hours, including weekends, based on the needs of the service
- The legal right to work in the UK
