We are seeking a dedicated Kitchen Porter to join our dynamic hospitality team. Responsibilities
- Assist with basic food preparation tasks as directed by the kitchen team
- Support chefs with cleaning and sanitising kitchen equipment and work surfaces
- Ensure all dishes, utensils, and kitchen tools are washed, dried, and stored correctly
- Maintain cleanliness of the kitchen area, including floors, sinks, and storage spaces
- Help with waste disposal and recycling procedures in accordance with health and safety standards
- Support serving staff during busy periods by providing necessary assistance when required
- Follow health and safety regulations at all times to ensure a safe working environment for all staff
Requirements
- Previous experience in food preparation, cooking, or hospitality (desirable but not essential)
- Knowledge of kitchen hygiene standards and safety procedures
- Ability to work efficiently both independently and as part of a team
- Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities within a fast-paced environment
- Good organisational skills with attention to detail
- Willingness to learn new skills and undertake training as required
