Duties
- Monitor customer accounts to identify overdue payments and prioritize collection efforts
- Contact clients via phone, email, or written correspondence to follow up on outstanding invoices
- Negotiate payment plans or settlement agreements when necessary to recover overdue amounts
- Maintain accurate records of all collection activities within our accounting software systems such as QuickBooks, Sage, or Xero
- Reconcile accounts payable and receivable transactions to ensure data accuracy
- Collaborate with sales and customer service teams to resolve billing discrepancies or disputes promptly
- Generate regular reports on credit status, aging analysis, and collection progress for management review
Experience
- Proven experience in credit control or accounts receivable roles within a fast-paced environment
- Strong proficiency in accounting software such as QuickBooks, Sage, Xero, or similar platforms
- Familiarity with managing accounts payable processes and reconciling financial records
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to negotiate effectively and maintain professional relationships
- Knowledge of basic accounting principles and financial regulations relevant to credit management
- Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks efficiently, and handle sensitive financial information with integrity
