You will be part of a team responsible for the Electrical Servicing and Electrical Upgrade work across the city. Core duties will include
- Planning Electrical Safety Checks (EICR’s) to ensure the works are completed before the due date has expired.
- Communicating with stakeholders when dealing with properties that are difficult to access, working in conjunction with Derby Homes no access procedure.
- Gathering and presenting evidence of no access attempts for escalation.
- Providing monthly reports.
- Maintaining and scheduling of diaries on a daily basis ensuring planning of works and training etc.
- Customer liaison.
Derby Homes are an organisation owned by Derby City Council who manage and maintain approximately 12,500 properties in Derby employing over 600 members of staff. The diverse workforce covers office based and mobile workers including housing management teams, specialist support workers and a repairs and maintenance team.
You will be part of a team that helps complete over 40,000 repairs a year, coordinating across the different teams within Repairs & Maintenance and the wider organisations.

We’re looking for an organised, confident and proactive Works Supervisor to lead our Day-to-Day Repairs Planning team. You’ll be at the heart of a busy repairs service, supporting and motivating the team to make the best use of our operatives, plan workloads effectively and make sure the right person gets to the right job at the right time. From managing changing priorities and resolving problems to monitoring performance and improving the way we work, you’ll play a key role in delivering an efficient, responsive repairs service and a great experience for our customers.
