Overview
We are seeking compassionate and dedicated Care Support Workers to provide high-quality assistance to individuals in various care settings, including assisted living, nursing homes, and home care environments. This role involves supporting clients with daily activities, ensuring their safety, and promoting their wellbeing. The ideal candidate will possess a genuine desire to make a positive difference in people's lives and have relevant experience in caring for vulnerable populations. Responsibilities
- Assist clients with personal care tasks such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support
- Support with medication administration following prescribed guidelines
- Prepare nutritious meals tailored to individual dietary needs and preferences
- Engage clients in meaningful activities to promote mental and physical wellbeing
- Provide companionship and emotional support to reduce feelings of loneliness or isolation
- Assist with light housekeeping duties to maintain a clean and safe environment
- Support clients with mobility, including the use of aids or assistive devices as required
- Monitor and report any changes in health or behaviour to senior staff promptly
- Drive clients to appointments or social activities when necessary (driving duties)
- Manage behaviour effectively, especially in clients with dementia or Alzheimer's disease
Skills
- Prior experience in assisted living, nursing homes, or home care environments is highly desirable
- Knowledge of patient care practices, including dementia, Alzheimer's, hospice, and senior care
- Ability to administer medication accurately and safely
- Strong caregiving skills with a compassionate approach towards vulnerable individuals
- First aid certification is advantageous but not essential; training can be provided
- Ability to handle heavy lifting safely when assisting with mobility or transfers
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to manage behaviour effectively
- Reliable driving skills for transporting clients as needed
- Experience in meal preparation tailored to specific dietary requirements
- Organised and attentive to detail in all aspects of care delivery

Pay: £12.71 per hour
