Overview
We’re looking for a detail-driven, motivated Housekeeper to join our friendly team at The Old Mill Inn, an award-winning hotel, bar & restaurant in the heart of Pitlochry.
As part of our housekeeping team, you’ll play an essential role in ensuring our 14-bedroom hotel, restaurant, and bar maintain the highest standards of cleanliness and comfort for our guests. You’ll take pride in your work, enjoy being part of a busy hospitality environment, and share our commitment to five-star service.
Daily tasks will include:
- Ensuring the full hygiene and cleanliness of guest bedrooms, bathrooms, and public areas
- Preparing rooms for new arrivals and maintaining high presentation standards throughout guest stays
- Sorting and storing linens and towels
- Replenishing guest amenities and reporting maintenance issues promptly
- Liaising with the General Manager regarding linen and cleaning product stock levels
- Supporting the wider team with daily operations when required
- Providing friendly and professional service to guests at all times
About You
We’re looking for someone who takes real pride in creating spotless spaces and a warm, welcoming environment.
Essential attributes:
- 18 years +
- Smart and presentable appearance
- Excellent attention to detail
- Good spoken English and communication skills
- Strong organisational and time-management skills
- Reliable, proactive, and able to work independently
- Eligible to work in the UK
Desirable attributes:
- Previous housekeeping experience in a hotel or hospitality environment
- Knowledge of cleaning and hygiene standards in line with COSHH and Health & Safety regulations
