Overview
Malton Coachworks are seeking experienced Restoration technicains to join our expanding team. The ideal candidate will be working as part of a team responsible for end to end restoration of classic vehicles of varying specifications. This role offers an opportunity to work on partial and full restorations, including but not limited to; engine and drivetrain work, electrical and pneumatic work, vehicle body and paintwork and interior trim work. Restorations can be lengthy projects and require meticulous planning and detail often being focused on originality.

Responsibilities
- Liasing with the Restoration Manager in order to understand the project scope of work.
- Working in line with the project plan ensuring delivarables are met.
- Assessing vehicles components and determining appropriate restoration procedures
- Using hand tools and power tools to restore components, considering surface finishes.
- Documenting work progress and maintaining detailed records of tasks performed
Skills
- Experience in building vehicles from bare shell to completion is essential.
- Strong understanding of restoration processes related to classic vehicles.
- A strong understanding of the vehicle build documentation and the ability to compile this both written and electronically is essential.
- Ability to operate workshop equipment safely and efficiently
- Good organisational skills with attention to detail
- Physical fitness to handle manual tasks and work in various environmental conditions

Qualifications
Essential-
NVQ level 2 in vehicle body repair and maintenance or equivalent.
Advantageous-
NVQ level 3 or higher in vehicle body repair and maintenance or equivalent.
