Quality Assurer – Apprenticeships (Childcare & Business Services)

Are you passionate about quality in education and apprenticeships? We are looking for an experienced and motivated Quality Assurer to join our growing Quality team at Swift. This is a key role in ensuring excellence across the learner journey, supporting high standards of delivery, compliance, and learner outcomes.
As a Quality Assurer, you will play an integral role in monitoring, reporting, and driving continuous improvement across apprenticeship programmes. With quality in Further Education evolving significantly, this role is essential in ensuring compliance and consistency across Information, Advice and Guidance (IAG), Off-The-Job (OTJ) training, classroom and remote delivery, 1-2-1 sessions, and qualification delivery.
This role will focus primarily on Childcare and Business Services apprenticeship programmes, while also supporting wider curriculum areas where needed.
Key Responsibilities
- Schedule and conduct quality assurance activities in line with company processes and procedures.
- Ensure the quality and compliance of apprenticeship programmes through robust internal quality assurance practices.
- Monitor assessor performance and sample learner work to ensure assessment decisions are valid, fair, and consistent.
- Deliver constructive feedback to operational staff, supporting performance improvements and enhancing the learner journey.
- Provide training, guidance, and support to tutors to ensure understanding of requirements and best practice.
- Support the development and improvement of processes for recording, monitoring, and evidencing learning.
- Drive consistency and quality improvements in Off-The-Job (OTJ) evidence submissions.
- Review and recommend enhancements to ePortfolio systems to improve the experience for learners and staff.
- Support delivery staff in meeting quality expectations and progressing against support plan actions.
- Conduct Observations of Teaching, Learning and Assessment (OTLs) and standardisation meetings in line with policy.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
- Contribute to effective performance management processes, helping maintain high standards of delivery and learner progression.
About You
We’re looking for someone who has:
- Experience in quality assurance within apprenticeships, FE, or work-based learning.
- Strong knowledge of apprenticeship compliance, quality frameworks, and awarding body requirements.
- Experience within Childcare and/or Business Services apprenticeship standards.
- The ability to provide constructive feedback and coach delivery staff to improve performance.
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
- A commitment to continuous improvement and delivering outstanding learner experiences.
