Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and motivated Shop Fitter / Joiner to join our dynamic construction team. In this role, you will be responsible for fabricating, assembling, and installing a variety of bespoke fixtures, fittings, and structures within commercial and residential settings. Your expertise will ensure high-quality craftsmanship, precise joinery, and efficient installation processes. Duties
- Fabricate custom joinery components using hand tools, power tools, and woodworking machinery
- Assemble and install fixtures, cabinetry, partitions, and other structural elements on-site or in workshop settings
- Measure accurately and cut materials such as wood, MDF, plywood, and metal to specifications
- Use carpentry, joinery, roofing, plumbing, masonry, electrical experience as needed for project requirements
- Perform heavy lifting safely to move materials and completed structures during installation
- Conduct construction painting and finishing work to ensure a polished appearance
- Collaborate with project managers and other tradespeople to ensure timely completion of projects while maintaining safety standards
Experience
- Proven experience as a Shop Fitter or Joiner within construction or manufacturing environments
- Strong knowledge of fabrication techniques, assembly processes, and material handling
- Proficiency with hand tools (saws, chisels, hammers), power tools (drills, sanders), and woodworking machinery
- Experience in carpentry, joinery, Shopfitting and Base level interior fitout work is highly desirable
- Ability to interpret technical drawings and specifications accurately
- Physical stamina for heavy lifting and prolonged periods of standing or working at heights
- Relevant certifications or training in construction work is a plus
