Soft Play Supervisor (Part-Time) The Play Park – Romsey

We are looking for a Part-Time Soft Play Supervisor to support the day-to-day running of the venue while leading by example on the floor. This is a hands-on role where you’ll work closely with the team to ensure high standards are consistently maintained across customer service, cleanliness, safety, and café operations.
This role is contracted at a minimum of 16 hours per week, with up to 20 hours available depending on business needs. Flexibility is essential, including the ability to cover the Venue Manager’s annual leave and days off, ensuring the venue continues to run smoothly and standards remain consistently high.
Key Responsibilities
Leadership & Team Support
- Support, motivate, and guide the team during shifts.
- Assist with staff training and maintaining excellent customer service standards.
- Help oversee smooth shift operations across the play area, café, and parties.
- Step up to lead the venue confidently in the absence of the Venue Manager.
Customer Experience
- Ensure every family has a safe, fun, and memorable visit.
- Handle customer queries and feedback professionally and positively.
- Support the delivery of birthday parties and private hire events.
- Maintain a warm, welcoming, and family-friendly atmosphere.
Health, Safety & Cleanliness
- Carry out daily safety and cleanliness checks.
- Ensure high standards of hygiene and food safety are maintained.
- Complete incident logs and follow company procedures correctly.
- Help ensure the venue is always safe, clean, and well-presented.
Operations & Standards
- Support café operations, stock control, and shift organisation.
- Assist with opening and closing procedures where required.
- Maintain clear communication and smooth handovers between shifts.
- Help ensure company standards and procedures are consistently followed.
What We’re Looking For
- Previous supervisory experience in soft play, hospitality, leisure, retail, or a similar customer-focused environment preferred.
- Kitchen experience preferred but not essential - Training can be provided.
- Strong leadership and communication skills.
- Friendly, approachable, and confident working with both children and adults.
- Calm under pressure and able to problem-solve effectively.
- Flexible and reliable, including availability for weekends and school holidays.
- Able to take initiative and confidently manage the venue when required.
