Overview
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Vehicle Technician to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for the assembly, maintenance, and repair of various vehicles, ensuring they operate efficiently and safely. This role requires a strong mechanical knowledge and the ability to work with both hand and power tools. Excellent customer service skills are essential as you will be interacting with clients to provide updates on their vehicles.
Responsibilities
- Assemble and disassemble vehicle components as required.
- Perform welding tasks to repair or fabricate parts.
- Conduct routine maintenance checks and repairs on vehicles to ensure optimal performance.
- Utilise hand tools and power tools effectively for various repair tasks.
- Diagnose issues using schematics and technical manuals to identify faults in vehicle systems.
- Maintain a clean and organised workspace while adhering to safety protocols.
- Provide exceptional customer service by communicating clearly with clients regarding repairs and maintenance needs.
- Assist in heavy lifting of vehicle components or equipment as necessary.
Qualifications
- Proven mechanical knowledge with experience in vehicle repair and maintenance.
- Proficiency in using hand tools, power tools, and welding equipment.
- Ability to read and interpret schematics effectively.
- Strong problem-solving skills with attention to detail in diagnosing issues.
- Excellent customer service skills, with the ability to communicate technical information clearly to clients.
- Physical capability to perform heavy lifting and stand for extended periods during work hours.
- Previous experience in a similar role is desirable but not essential; training will be provided for the right candidate.
