Job Summary
We are seeking a proactive and experienced Duty Manager to oversee daily operations within our Pub and Restaurant. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring exceptional guest experiences, managing staff, and maintaining the highest standards of service. Our operational hours are 12:noon - 22:00, Friday and Saturday till 23:00.
40hr week maximum
Responsibilities
- Supervise and coordinate the activities of staff to ensure smooth operational flow throughout the shift.
- Provide outstanding guest services, addressing any concerns or complaints promptly and professionally.
- Oversee reservations, check-ins, and check-outs to guarantee guest satisfaction.
- Ensure compliance with health, safety, and hygiene standards across all areas of the establishment.
- Assist in training new team members and support ongoing staff development initiatives.
- Monitor inventory levels and assist with stock management to ensure availability of necessary supplies.
- Handle administrative tasks such as reporting, shift handovers, and maintaining operational records.
- Support the management team in implementing policies and procedures to enhance service quality.
Requirements
- Proven experience in management within the hospitality or related sector.
- Strong background in guest services with excellent communication skills.
- Ability to lead and motivate a diverse team effectively.
- Organised, proactive, with exceptional problem-solving abilities.
- Flexibility to work during peak hours, including evenings and weekends if necessary.
- Knowledge of health and safety regulations relevant to hospitality environments.
- A positive attitude with a focus on delivering outstanding customer experiences. This role is ideal for dynamic individuals eager to develop their managerial skills within a vibrant hospitality setting while ensuring guests receive memorable service experiences.
