About the Role
The role sits within the Change Practice in Programme & Projects Delivery Group (PPDG) and will be assigned to HALO, Oxford’s Transformational Customer Relationship Management (CRM) programme. The role will work with the wider HALO Change and Communications function. The role supports change activity associated with the retirement of the current CRM and introduction of HALO. The role will also support a transition towards a shared target operating model enabled through HALO CRM products and services.
The role focuses on supporting colleges through a significant period of organisational and operational change. With 26 colleges currently using DARS (current CRM) and an expectation that all 26 colleges will transition to HALO fundraising, marketing and events products, the scale and complexity of change activity across the colleges is substantial.
The role will work across a highly complex stakeholder environment, engaging senior leaders, operational teams and local college representatives to support organisational readiness, stakeholder engagement and adoption planning. The role will help colleges prepare for changes to processes, roles, technologies and ways of working associated with the transition to HALO products and services.
About You
The role requires a resilient, pragmatic and highly credible change professional who can operate effectively in ambiguity, navigate challenge constructively and build trusted relationships across a distributed and autonomous stakeholder environment. The successful candidate will be capable of balancing strategic stakeholder engagement with practical change coordination, while influencing and enabling change through partnership.
Whilst it is essential that you have experience as a Business Change Manager on complex projects impacting a wide range of stakeholders, this is a consultative business change role focused on enablement, coordination and readiness rather than dedicated delivery of localised change activity within individual colleges. You will need to provide change management expertise, guidance, tools, templates and best practice approaches to support consistent and effective change delivery across the collegiate landscape, ensuring the colleges retain accountability for implementing local change and managing local impacts.
Experience of working in an HEI or similar non-commercial organisation, along with an understanding of the management structures, politics, and culture of the University is highly desirable, but not essential.
Application Process
You will be required to upload a covering letter/supporting statement, CV, and the details of two referees as part of your online application.
The closing date for applications is 12 noon on 29 July 2026.
Interviews will take place between 5th and 7th August and will be face to face.
