We're looking for a General Manager for a pub carvery & hotel. Salary up to £55,000 plus bonus and a generous benefits package.

About the pub
The Aviator is a thriving, multi-faceted business located on a prominent main road on the outskirts of the popular seaside town of Clacton-on-Sea, adjacent to a busy retail park. Recently refurbished to an exceptional standard, this impressive venue offers something for every guest, combining a welcoming family dining experience with a vibrant sports-led atmosphere. The pub benefits from a two-door concept, featuring a dedicated sports bar complete with Sky Sports, darts and pool, alongside extensive food and drink trading areas.
Generating weekly sales of around £50,000, The Aviator is supported by a 39-bedroom lodge, delivering strong year-round accommodation revenue from both holidaymakers and weekday business travellers. The recent introduction of a seven-day carvery has created an exciting opportunity to further grow food sales, while the established breakfast offer attracts both hotel guests and the local community every day of the week.
Outside, guests can enjoy a large wraparound beer garden with seating for over 160 people and a well-maintained children's play area, making The Aviator a popular destination for families and groups alike. Already a well-known hub within the local community, the pub remains in a period of growth, offering an ambitious General Manager the opportunity to develop every aspect of the business—from accommodation and food to live sport, entertainment and community engagement.

Management accommodation is available in the form of a 3 bedroom flat above the site.
