Duties
- Conduct thorough inspections of vehicles to identify mechanical issues
- Perform repairs and maintenance on clutches, brakes, and other vehicle systems
- Use hand tools and power tools to carry out repairs efficiently and accurately
- Test vehicles post-repair to ensure issues have been resolved effectively
- Maintain detailed records of work carried out and parts used
- Assist with vehicle diagnostics using specialised equipment
- Ensure all work complies with safety standards and manufacturer specifications
- Assist in the organisation of workshop tools and equipment to maintain a safe working environment
Skills
- Strong mechanical knowledge of various vehicle systems and components
- Proficiency in using hand tools and power tools for repairs and maintenance tasks
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely when handling vehicle parts or equipment
- Excellent problem-solving skills with attention to detail
- Good organisational skills to manage multiple tasks efficiently
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
- Prior experience in a vehicle repair workshop is desirable but not essential; training will be provided where necessary
