we are looking to hire a fully qualified / time served Bench Hand Joiner. Applicants must be fully experienced in the machining and assembly of timber windows and doors as well as being highly motivated and able to work to tight deadlines. Good rates of pay for the right applicant.
Responsibilities
- Fabricate and assemble wooden components, including doors, windows
- Use of manual and automatic tenoning machines, panel saw, spindle moulder and various other machines.
- Measure, cut, and shape wood materials accurately to meet project requirements.
- Maintain a clean and safe working environment by adhering to health and safety regulations.
- Conduct routine maintenance on tools and equipment to ensure optimal performance.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 5 years joinery experience within a Joinery Workshop.
- Experienced in the use of manual and automatic tenoning machines, panel saw, spindle moulders and various other machines.
- Proficiency in using both hand tools and power tools safely and effectively.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting as required for various projects.
- Strong attention to detail with a commitment to producing high-quality work.
- Ability to work with minimum supervision.
- Possess a quality and attention to detail mindset.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
Schedule
Monday to Thursday 7:30am - 4:30pm
Friday 7:30am - 4:00pm
Approximately one in five Saturdays 8am - 12pm
Candidate will be expected to work Saturdays on a Rota (approx one in five) in a customer facing role to cover the trade counter. full training will be given for this aspect of the job.
