Are you looking for a rewarding role where you can support a busy, welcoming Harbour Team and help deliver an important community facility at Ilfracombe Harbour?
This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role at the heart of the Watersports Hub, a vibrant community facility used by commercial watersports operators, local groups and the wider public. As the main point of contact, you will help ensure the Hub runs smoothly, safely and professionally, supporting its day-to-day operation, maintenance and development. Working closely with the Harbour Master, you will also assist with the management of the facility, help support the continued success of Ilfracombe Sea School as a recognised RYA training centre, and contribute to the wider work of Ilfracombe Harbour.
Key skills required for the role:

Excellent communication and customer service skills, with the ability to engage confidently with harbour users, watersports operators, local groups and members of the public.
- Strong organisational skills, with the ability to manage day-to-day tasks, keep accurate records and support the smooth running of a busy community facility.
- A practical, proactive approach to problem solving, maintenance issues and operational support.
- The confidence to work independently, use initiative and make sound decisions while supporting the Harbour Master and wider Harbour Team.
- Good attention to detail, particularly in relation to health and safety, compliance, administration, record keeping, the Health and Safety at Work Act, risk assessments and the Port Marine Safety Code.
- That you can work on a rota system including weekends from March to October.
