The Role
We are looking for Piano teachers who love working with groups of young students! At The Music Works, personality comes first. While musical competence matters, we believe the best mentors are those who can connect, encourage, and inspire. This role is about helping students feel safe, seen, and brave enough to learn, be creative and perform. You will mentor students through engaging group lessons, with view to supporting them to perform multiple times per year.
Schedule & Locations
We are looking for a dedicated group piano teacher, to deliver lessons during the school day in local schools. This role is easily commutable from Horsham, Dorking, Farnham, Haslemere, Woking, Shalford, Ewhurst and Bramley. Here is what we currently have available:
Cranleigh Area - Tuesdays
Guildford Area - Wednesdays
Godalming Area - Saturdays
Consistent Freelance Work
We know freelancers value certainty. We work with you to agree on consistent teaching blocks, allowing you to plan your gigging and personal life around your teaching commitments. As our school grows, we prioritise our existing mentor network for new student portfolios, giving you first refusal on additional work.

Experience & Requirements
- Competent pianist with the ability to support beginner students.
- An entertainer who is excited to work with young children.
- Reliable transport is essential.
- Enhanced DBS (or willingness to obtain one).
Pay: £25.00-£28.00 per hour
Ability to commute/relocate:
- Surrey: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)
