A busy, fast-moving materials handling operation in Thatcham is looking for a sharp, hands-on Workshop Manager to steer its engineering team and keep the wheels turning smoothly.
This is not a clipboard-only role. You’ll be at the heart of the workshop, balancing leadership with technical know-how, making sure equipment is serviced, repaired, and ready to perform without fuss.
What you’ll be doing:
- Leading a team of engineers and technicians day-to-day
- Planning and prioritising maintenance and repair schedules
- Keeping downtime low and efficiency high
- Managing parts, stock, and workshop organisation
- Ensuring health & safety standards are met and lived, not just filed
- Acting as the go-to problem solver when machinery throws a tantrum
