Role: CAD Designer – Stainless Balustrade Solutions

Stainless Balustrade Solutions are a specialist metal fabricator based in Luton who specialise in the design, production, and installation of structural and architectural metalworks, including, but not limited to, balustrades, balconies, canopies, and secondary steelwork. We are now seeking a talented draughtsman, with comprehensive experience in structural and architectural metalwork to join our team. Working collaboratively with both internal and external partners, meeting deadlines, and producing designs of the highest calibre, you will help ensure that projects are delivered on schedule and in accordance with the specifications of our clients
This role would be full time Monday to Friday, working primarily in our Luton based office, with occasional site visits as, and when required by the employer.
Responsibility and Duties
· Using Tekla , as per the requirements of our clients to produce both initial sketches and high-quality technical drawings in 2D/3D
· Adhering to specifications and calculations in the production of designs
· Liaising with clients to obtain the information required to actualise their vision
· Communicating with architects and engineers, as required, to ensure accuracy of design production
· Preparing, reviewing, and redrafting designs as needed, through all phases of the process – preliminary, approval and construction
· Ensuring designs are compliant with building regulations
· Identifying and promptly communicating potential design issues
· Providing accurate lists, NC files, and calculations of all materials required to implement designs
· Proficient in working from site survey dimensions
Candidate criteria
Essential
· Right to work in the UK
· Excellent communication skills; fluent in English
· Mathematically adept
· Minimum 3 years’ working with Tekla
· Minimum 3 years’ experience of structural and architectural metalworks (stairs, balustrades, balconies)
Desirable
· Experience in the use of Viewpoint for Projects (4P)
