From our three depots across Leicestershire and Rutland, we offer an extensive range of building products for Tradesmen, DIY enthusiast, self builders and more. ______________________________________________________________________________________________ We are currently recruiting for an Internal Sales Executive to work in our busy sales office in our Melton Mowbray Branch. The successful applicant will be part of a busy team at our 4-acre site. Summary As an Internal Sales Executive, you will be responsible for maintaining lasting relationships with our existing customers and building your own customer trade, retail and contractor base. You will proactively develop new business whilst maximising sales. Liaising Daily with our Sales Manager to ensure orders are fulfilled accurately and on time.
Responsibilities
- Build strong relationships with contractors, housebuilders, developers and self-builders. Act as a primary contact for customer enquiries, pricing and project requirements.
- Resolve Customer issues promptly and professionally, escalating where necessary.
- Provide expert product advice and guidance appropriate to each customer project needs. Trade counter support will be required during busy periods, ensuring customers receive a prompt and knowledgeable service.
- Work collaboratively with the yard, warehouse and transport teams to fulfil customer orders accurately and on time.
Required Skills and Qualifications
Essential: At least 1 years proven sales experience, ideally in a builders / timber merchant environment. Strong commercial awareness with a result’s driven approach. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both face to face and by telephone. Ability to build a rapport quickly with a wide range of customers. Self-motivated with the ability to manage own workload and priorities effectively.
Desirable: Knowledge of building materials, timber, roofing, landscaping and related products. Existing relationships with local trades. Experience using industry specific software.
Hours, Salary & Benefits
7:30am until 5:00pm Monday to Friday. 8:00am until 12noon on Saturdays (on a rota basis, typically 1 in 3).
