The Mobile Cleaning team plays a vital role in maintaining high standards across our council-owned housing stock, ensuring communal areas are clean, well-presented, and free from fire hazards, helping to create a safe and welcoming environment for residents.
We are looking for an experienced and conscientious Chargehand to lead and supervise a team of four cleaners and to be a key link in the enforcement of Tenancy and Lease terms.
You should have previous experience supervising the cleaning of commercial or residential premises, together with a working knowledge of Health and Safety regulations. The post requires you to have a full and current UK driving licence and the ability to use mechanised cleaning equipment.
You will be able to communicate effectively with residents and negotiate solutions where required. Good knowledge of cleaning procedures, health and safety and fire safety are essential. A commitment to excellent customer service and a flexible, proactive approach to work are also key attributes for this role.
A full and current UK driving licence is a requirement of the role.
Uniform will be provided.
The hours of work will be 37 per week, Monday to Friday.
