To provide assistance to the Finance and Reporting function in the reporting of performance, preparing financial statements and accounts, budgeting and managing ledgers.
What you'll be doing
- Responsible for month end balance sheet subledger reconciliations and reporting in R12 and Blackline, investigating and resolving reconciling differences.
- Produce monthly reconciliation reports by business region and respond to queries from SBU’s
- Processing of BMC journal entry requests from all CSUK SBU’s accurately and within agreed timelines and approvals.
- Produce and distribute KPI reporting on journal volumes
- Distribute monthly journal logs and obtain review approval from FD’s
- Maintain and continually look to improve standard journal template and controls.
- Complete project sets in R12, liaising with SBU’s and site support as required to ensure right first time project creation
- Maintain new Project Organisations in R12
- Calculation and allocation of shared costs across projects and overhead cost centres r="ltr">maintaining an audit trail of the end to end process to support cost recovery on projects.
- Costing of payroll to projects in line with timesheet data and HR data
- Support payroll cost queries from site / client audits
- Produce KPI data and reminder emails on timesheet completion
- dir="ltr">Circulate reporting of potential inconsistencies in employee HR record costing set up and coordinate R12 HR record updates as required with Employee Services
- Produce payroll and costing data reporting by SBU and share securely through Sharepoint
- Day to day management of fixed asset accounting – including additions, disposals and all associated reporting
- Complete monthly recharge of depreciation to projects
- Produce KPI reporting on aged PO accruals and circulate to SBU’s and site support.
- Complete PO write off process in line with agreed parameters.
- Identity issues within SubContract module accounting and liaise with IT to test and correct. Liaise with Subcontract team to resolve aged items and CIS balances.
- Processing and reconciliation of Plant & Fleet revenue journals
- Costing of internal Plant & Fleet costs to projects and overhead cost centres
- Produce analysis where requested by the OpCo
- Risk mitigation
- Providing support to internal and external customers
- Work collaboratively as a member of the AS Team to ensure the flawless execution of the AS strategic and operational objectives for own area of responsibility
- Ensure that you provide exceptional service to internal and external customers
- Ensure areas which could potentially adversely affect the business are expediently highlighted to management
Who we're looking for
The following qualities/experience are desirable:
- Part qualified (AAT)
- Graduate calibre
- Understanding of Financial accounting and compliance systems and related legislation
- Understanding of statutory and regulatory Financial accounting and compliance
requirements across the business function
- Knowledge of best practice thinking in Financial accounting and compliance accounting processes and Shared Services
- Excellent problem solving and analytical skills
- The ability to challenge controls and performance
- Excellent working knowledge of multicurrency ERP system (preferably Oracle).
Intermediate / advanced Ms Excel, Ms Power Point and Ms Word
- Experience of operating in large-scale complex organisations with diverse stakeholder community
- Good understanding of industry and working in a multiple Operating Company environment
- Strong change management experience
- Awareness of the developments in the Financial Reporting Standards (FRS) and the ability to incorporate them into the team’s working practices
