Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and strategic Purchasing Director to lead our procurement operations and drive excellence across our supply chain. Duties
- Develop and implement comprehensive procurement strategies aligned with organizational goals to optimize costs and enhance supply chain performance.
- Lead negotiations with suppliers, vendors, and logistics partners to secure favorable terms, pricing, and service levels.
- Oversee the management of ERP systems such as SAP and Oracle E-Business Suite (EBS) to ensure accurate procurement data, reporting, and process automation.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including logistics, finance, and operations to forecast needs and coordinate supply chain activities effectively.
- Monitor market trends, supplier performance, and industry developments to identify opportunities for cost savings and process improvements.
- Manage procurement teams, providing guidance on best practices in negotiation, vendor management, and compliance standards.
- Ensure adherence to company policies, regulatory requirements, and ethical standards throughout all purchasing activities.
Requirements
- Proven experience in a senior procurement or purchasing leadership role within a complex supply chain environment.
- Strong proficiency with ERP systems such as SAP and Oracle EBS; experience with other ERP platforms is a plus.
- Demonstrated expertise in negotiation tactics that result in cost savings while maintaining quality standards.
- In-depth knowledge of logistics operations and supply chain management principles.
