About the Services
Chapter House is a residential scheme which offers choices and chances to those who are homeless and may be ex-offenders. To do this you need to be enthusiastic, confident and non-judgemental.
We are looking for a Cleaner to join the team and work 2 hours on a Monday, Wednesday and Friday- Hours are flexible but the days must stay the same. Ideally, you will have at least six months` experience in a similar role, either domestically or commercial
As a Cleaner, you will:
- Be responsible for cleaning all communal areas in the project including entrances, offices, kitchen/laundry, toilets, corridors, meeting room and the IT suite.
- Clean hard gloss and glass surfaces
- Vacuum communal/office areas, mats and upholstery
- Dust and clean desks, chairs, bookcases etc.
- Clean and disinfect all telephones
- Clean any vacated rooms when required
- Stock checks on cleaning materials
As a Cleaner, you will ideally have:
- Experience of undertaking cleaning/housekeeping.
- Knowledge of cleaning practice required in a care environment.
- Ability to demonstrate knowledge of health & safety in creating a safe and homely environment.
- Understanding/empathy of working with service users who may be vulnerable because of age, disability or other factors.
