Ladybirds After School Club is looking for a reliable, responsible and friendly Driver to collect children from their schools and safely transport them to our after-school club at Seven Towers Leisure Centre.
This is a part-time role of up to 2 hours per day, making it ideal for someone looking for work during the afternoon/early evening.
Key Responsibilities
- Safely collect children from their schools at the agreed times.
- Transport children safely to Ladybirds After School Club at Seven Towers Leisure Centre.
- Drive company vehicles responsibly and in accordance with all road safety requirements.
- Ensure children are safely supervised during collection and transport.
- Follow all Ladybirds safeguarding and child-protection procedures.
- Carry out basic checks of the vehicle and report any issues promptly.
- Maintain a professional, friendly and reassuring manner when dealing with children, parents/guardians and school staff.
- Ensure children are safely handed over to authorised staff at the after-school club.
Essential Requirements
- Full, valid UK driving licence.
- Previous driving experience and a safe, responsible approach to driving.
- Reliable and punctual.
- Friendly and approachable manner.
- Good communication skills.
- Ability to work responsibly with children and follow safeguarding procedures.
- Willingness to complete an AccessNI check.
- Ability to drive Ladybirds' company vehicles.
Desirable
- Previous experience working with or transporting children.
- Knowledge of the local area and surrounding schools.
- Previous experience in a childcare, education, school transport or similar role.
Safeguarding
As this role involves transporting children, the successful applicant will be required to complete an AccessNI check and meet Ladybirds After School Club's safeguarding requirements before commencing employment.
Pay: From £12.71 per hour
