Job Summary
We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Logistics Manager to lead our supply chain operations and optimize our logistics processes. Responsibilities
- Develop and implement comprehensive logistics strategies aligned with company goals, focusing on efficiency, cost reduction, and service excellence
- Manage transportation management systems (TMS) and warehouse management systems (WMS) to streamline shipping, receiving, inventory control, and order fulfillment processes
- Oversee third-party logistics providers (3PL), ensuring contractual compliance and performance standards are met or exceeded
- Coordinate shipping and receiving operations, including scheduling shipments, verifying documentation, and resolving any discrepancies or delays
- Lead process improvement initiatives by analyzing data, identifying bottlenecks, and implementing best practices across the supply chain
- Supervise warehouse activities such as materials handling, picking & packing, forklift operations, and inventory management to maximize productivity and accuracy
- Utilize ERP systems like AS400 and other data analysis tools to monitor key performance indicators (KPIs), generate reports, and support strategic decision-making
Requirements
- Proven experience in logistics management with a strong understanding of supply chain principles and warehouse operations
- Familiarity with category management techniques to optimize product grouping and inventory levels
- Hands-on experience with transportation management systems (TMS), warehouse management systems (WMS), ERP platforms such as AS400, and related software tools
- Knowledge of materials handling equipment including forklifts, along with relevant certifications preferred
- Strong data analysis skills to interpret operational metrics and identify opportunities for process enhancement
- Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail in shipping & receiving procedures and inventory accuracy
- Ability to lead teams effectively while fostering a safety-conscious work environment
