About the Role
As our Joinery Workshop Manager, you will lead all aspects of production at our in-house manufacturing facility — ensuring our furniture and bespoke kitchens are delivered with exceptional quality, efficiency, and craftsmanship. You will play a key role in the next stage of ParkerRose Interiors’ growth as we expand our manufacturing capabilities and introduce new CNC machining and spray finishing technology.
Key Responsibilities
Operational Leadership
- Oversee day-to-day workshop operations and production workflow
- Manage and schedule work to ensure on-time project delivery
- Maintain a clean, organised, and safe workshop environment at all times
- Coordinate logistics between design, procurement, and installation teams
Quality & Craftsmanship
- Ensure all joinery meets ParkerRose’s high build standards and client specifications
- Conduct quality checks at key stages of production
- Champion continuous improvement in production methods
Team Management
- Supervise joiners, machine operatives, apprentices, and subcontractors
- Lead daily production briefings and feedback sessions
- Coach, develop, and support team skills and performance
Machinery & Technical Oversight
- Oversee operation and routine maintenance of workshop machinery
(Panel saw, edge bander, CNC machine, hand tools, etc.)
- Help implement new equipment including CNC and spray booth
- Manage tooling, materials stock, and workshop resource planning
Health & Safety
- Ensure compliance with all H&S regulations and PPE requirements
- Maintain up-to-date risk assessments and safe-working procedures
Reporting & Projects
- Work with Directors to map production capacity and growth plans
- Report on workshop performance, material usage, and production costs
- Help develop improved manufacturing processes as scale increases
Skills & Experience Required
- Proven experience in a joinery or fitted furniture workshop leadership role
- Strong knowledge of cabinet and bespoke kitchen construction
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and CAD production files
- Competence using woodworking machinery and powered tools
- Excellent organisational and communication skills
- Strong leader with the ability to motivate and mentor a team
- A proactive, solutions-driven mindset
Desirable
- CNC programming/operation experience (Woodworking)
- Spray finishing knowledge
- IOSH / H&S training or certifications

Pay: £28,000.00-£40,000.00 per year
