We are looking for a reliable and trustworthy Sunday Vehicle Cleaner to clean a fleet of 9 flatbed commercial vehicles each week.
The role involves washing the vehicles, cleaning the cabs and moving and manoeuvring 7.5-tonne vehicles around the yard as required.
Main duties
- Washing and cleaning the exterior of 9 flatbed commercial vehicles
- Cleaning vehicle cabs, including floors, dashboards and windows
- Removing any rubbish and leaving vehicles clean and tidy
- Moving and manoeuvring vehicles around the yard as required
- Reporting any obvious damage, defects or maintenance issues noticed while cleaning
- Completing a simple vehicle cleaning checklist each Sunday
- Ensuring all vehicles are clean and ready for the working week
Essential requirements
- Valid UK driving licence with C1 / 7.5-tonne entitlement
- Previous experience driving and manoeuvring 7.5-tonne vehicles
- Confident handling larger vehicles in a yard and confined spaces
- Reliable and able to work every Sunday
- Able to work independently and without supervision
- Trustworthy and conscientious
- Good attention to detail
Desirable
- Previous vehicle cleaning or valeting experience
- Forklift truck licence would be an advantage
- Basic vehicle maintenance experience would be an advantage
Hours and pay
£17.00 per hour
The work is expected to take around 5 hours each Sunday, although this may vary depending on the condition of the vehicles.
Hours worked must be accurately recorded, and a simple cleaning checklist for all vehicles must be completed each week.
There is some flexibility over the time of day worked on Sunday, provided all vehicles are cleaned and ready for Monday morning.
All cleaning equipment and products will be provided.
