About the role
We are a busy and growing automotive parts business looking for an organised and reliable E-commerce Operations & Order Fulfilment Coordinator to join our team.
You will be responsible for helping manage the day-to-day flow of our online orders, making sure orders are organised, stock arriving from suppliers is processed correctly, urgent orders are prioritised and our packing operation runs smoothly.
We are looking for someone who can learn our systems and processes, take responsibility for their area and eventually manage the daily order workflow with minimal supervision.
Your responsibilities will include
- Printing and organising online customer orders
- Prioritising orders based on dispatch deadlines and supplier delivery times
- Organising work for our packing team throughout the day
- Checking incoming supplier deliveries against outstanding customer orders
- Making sure newly arrived stock is matched to the correct orders
- Ensuring urgent and time-sensitive orders are processed and packed early
- Monitoring outstanding orders and making sure nothing is missed or unnecessarily delayed
- Managing orders that require additional processing
- Updating and using our internal order management systems
- Identifying problems with orders and helping resolve them before they affect the customer
- Keeping the online order area organised and running efficiently
- Working closely with the rest of the warehouse and sales team
What we're looking for
More than anything, we're looking for someone who is organised, reliable and takes ownership of their work.
You will need to be:
- Highly organised and able to manage multiple tasks
- Reliable and punctual
- Comfortable working in a busy environment
- Confident using computers and learning new software
- Able to prioritise work based on urgency
- Good at spotting mistakes and resolving problems
- Comfortable communicating with different members of the team
- Willing to learn our products, suppliers and processes
- Able to work independently once trained
- Someone who takes pride in completing work properly
Previous experience in e-commerce, order fulfilment, warehouse operations, automotive parts or online retail would be useful, but it is not essential.
Full training on our systems and processes will be provided as we don't expect you to know everything on day one.
However, we are looking for someone who wants to learn the operation and gradually take responsibility for it. This role would suit someone who enjoys keeping things organised, solving problems and making sure the day's work gets completed properly.
There is room for the role to develop as our online business continues to grow.
