Business Development Executive (Field Sales) – Get Out on the Road & Win Business
Location: Southampton & South Coast (Field-Based)
Salary: £30,000 – £40,000 Base (DOE) + Car/Allowance + Fuel Card
Hours: 7:00am – 5:00pm, Monday to Friday
Package: Profit Share + Regular Team Events + Closed for Christmas
The Role
Reform Electrical Distributors is a fast-growing independent wholesaler in Southampton. We win work by being quicker, sharper, and easier to deal with than the nationals.
We’ve grown quickly to our first £1m month and are continuing to expand across the South Coast.
We are looking for a Business Development Executive who wants to get out on the road, win business, and build something for themselves.
The Opportunity: Direct Impact & Autonomy
You won’t be a cog in a corporate machine. You will work directly with the Company Directors to implement our sales strategy.
We aren't here to hold your hand; we’ll give you the tools, the trust, and the freedom to go out and make things happen.
You’ll learn quickly by being in the market — not sitting in training rooms.
The Day-to-Day
This is a high-visibility, relationship-driven role. You’ll be out of the office 3–4 days a week, winning new business and building relationships.
In the Field (75%)
Visiting sites, meeting electricians and contractors, opening new accounts, and reactivating old ones. You’re there to win work and build long-term relationships.
In the Branch (25%)
Working with internal sales to turn opportunities into orders and ensure customers are looked after.
