- Monitor and maintain high health and safety standards across the business and on our construction sites.
- Carry out regular site inspections and audits to identify risks, monitor compliance and recommend improvements.
- Produce, review and update Risk Assessments and Method Statements (RAMS) to ensure they are suitable, sufficient and relevant to the work being undertaken.
- Review, develop and update the company’s health and safety policies, procedures and documentation.
- Provide practical advice and guidance to management, site teams and operatives on health and safety matters.
- Promote and develop a strong positive safety culture throughout the organisation.
- Identify potential hazards and ensure appropriate corrective and preventative actions are implemented.
- Maintain accurate records relating to inspections, incidents, training, competencies and compliance.
- Ensure all employees and site operatives are fully up to date with the relevant training, qualifications and competencies required for their roles and duties.
- Identify training requirements and coordinate appropriate training and refresher courses.
- Maintain and manage the company’s health and safety and training records.
- Keep company accreditations and memberships up to date, including platforms such as Constructionline, Builders Profile and other relevant industry accreditations.
- Support the business in preparing for audits, accreditation renewals and client compliance requirements.
- Keep up to date with relevant health and safety legislation, regulations and industry best practice, ensuring changes are communicated and implemented within the business.
- Assist with the investigation of accidents, incidents and near misses, implementing lessons learned where appropriate.
- Work proactively with management to continually improve the company’s health, safety and training systems.
Pay: £40,000.00-£45,000.00 per year
