Aaryan Solicitors is seeking an experienced Legal Assistant or Paralegal to join our busy practice in Hayes.
The successful candidate will work closely with the principal solicitor and assist with Immigration, Family, Litigation and Private Client matters. The role involves drafting correspondence and attendance notes, completing legal applications and court forms, reviewing documents and evidence, preparing files, progressing matters and liaising with clients, courts, the Home Office, solicitors and other third parties.
The position is client-facing and will also involve meeting clients, taking initial information, answering telephone enquiries and arranging appointments.
Applicants must have at least one year’s paid experience working within a UK solicitors’ firm. Experience in every area of law is not required, but candidates must have practical experience drafting legal documents, dealing directly with clients and progressing matters under supervision.
We require someone who is reliable, organised and proactive, with strong written and spoken English, excellent attention to detail and the ability to think on their feet, manage competing priorities and work accurately under pressure.
This is an excellent opportunity to gain experience across several areas of law, develop greater responsibility and progress within the firm. The role may develop into a full-time position depending on performance and the firm’s workload.
This is not a trainee or work-experience position. Shortlisted candidates may be asked to complete a brief practical exercise as part of the interview process.
