Job Summary
We are seeking a talented and passionate Hair Stylist to join our dynamic salon team at The Forge Shopping Centre, Glasgow. The ideal candidate will possess excellent technical skills and a flair for creating personalised styles that enhance our clients’ confidence. This role offers opportunities for professional growth, including specialised services such as hair extensions, keratin treatment, as well as store management responsibilities. A strong focus on customer service and effective communication is essential to deliver an exceptional client experience.
Responsibilities
- Provide a wide range of hair styling services, including cutting, colouring, styling, and treatments tailored to individual client needs.
- Maintain high standards of hygiene and cleanliness in the salon environment.
- Deliver outstanding customer service by understanding client preferences and providing personalised advice.
- Manage front desk duties, including appointment scheduling, client consultations, and processing payments.
- Upsell products and additional services to maximise client satisfaction and salon revenue.
- Assist with store management tasks, including inventory control and maintaining a welcoming atmosphere.
- Mentor junior staff members and contribute to a positive team environment through sharing expertise and best practices.
Qualifications
- Proven experience as a Hair Stylist with a strong portfolio showcasing diverse styling techniques.
- Skills in barbering, is highly desirable but not compulsory.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to connect effectively with clients and team members.
- Experience in store management or supervisory roles is advantageous.
- Demonstrated ability to upsell products and services tactfully while prioritising customer satisfaction.
- Strong organisational skills with the capacity to manage appointments efficiently.
- An SVQ/NVQ Level 3 qualification in hairdressing or barbering.
