Job Summary
We are seeking a reliable and skilled Multi-drop Class 2 Truck Driver to join our team for a 12T Vehicle. The ideal candidate will be responsible for transporting goods efficiently and safely to various locations including some tail lift deliveries /. collections. This role requires a strong commitment to safety, excellent driving skills, and the ability to manage time effectively. Experience with flatbed deliveries is highly desirable. Monday - Friday 8am - 6pm. Operating in the RM / IG / E postcode area.
Duties
- Operate lorries in a safe and responsible manner, adhering to all traffic laws and regulations.
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure it is in good working condition.
- Load and unload cargo, ensuring that it is secured properly for transport.
- Deliver goods to designated locations within specified timeframes, maintaining accurate delivery records.
- Communicate effectively with dispatchers and clients regarding delivery schedules and any issues that may arise during transit.
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the vehicle at all times.
- Follow company policies and procedures related to safety, compliance, and customer service.
Experience
- Valid commercial driving licence (C+E or equivalent) is essential.
- Previous experience as a delivery driver or in a similar role is essential.
- Familiarity with flatbed operations is an advantage.
- Strong knowledge of road safety regulations and best practices for driving heavy vehicles.
- Excellent time management skills with the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
- Good communication skills to interact effectively with clients and colleagues.
