We are recruiting for a full-time Team Leader for one of our clients Ofsted-regulated children’s residential homes in Preston, supporting children and young people with Autism, ADHD, Learning Disabilities and complex needs.
The position will be a full time day position with rota required sleeps.
Responsibilities
- Lead and supervise a team of care staff, ensuring the delivery of high-quality support aligned with individual care plans
- Develop, implement, and review personalized care plans tailored to each child's needs and circumstances
- Foster effective communication within the team, with children, families, and external professionals to promote collaborative care
- Oversee daily operations within the care environment, ensuring safety protocols are followed at all times
- Manage responsibilities for transporting children safely to activities, appointments, or outings as needed
- Monitor staff performance through supervision sessions, providing guidance and ongoing training to enhance skills
- Maintain accurate documentation of care activities, incident reports, and progress updates using IT systems
Experience
- Proven supervising experience within children’s or senior care settings, demonstrating strong leadership capabilities
- Experience working in a care home or similar environment that supports children or young people with complex needs
- Knowledge of developing and managing care plans tailored to individual requirements
- Excellent communication skills to effectively liaise with children, families, colleagues, and external agencies
- Valid driving license with experience in safe transportation of children or vulnerable individuals
- Familiarity with IT systems used for documentation and record keeping in care settings
- Previous experience supervising staff members and managing team dynamics effectively
