Responsibilities
- Assess damaged surfaces to determine the appropriate paint repair method and materials needed
- Prepare surfaces thoroughly by cleaning, sanding, and priming to ensure optimal paint adhesion
- Apply paint and touch-up repairs using hand tools, spray guns, and power tools with precision and care
- Perform heavy lifting of equipment or materials as required to facilitate repairs safely and efficiently
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, ensuring all tools and supplies are properly stored after use
- Follow safety protocols diligently during all repair activities to prevent accidents or injuries
- Document all repairs performed, including materials used and work completed, for maintenance records
Qualifications
- Strong mechanical knowledge related to surface preparation and repair techniques
- Experience with hand tools such as scrapers, brushes, sanders, and paint rollers
- Proficiency with power tools used in surface preparation and painting tasks
- Ability to lift heavy objects safely and consistently throughout the workday
- Excellent attention to detail with a focus on quality workmanship
- Good communication skills to collaborate effectively with team members and supervisors
- Prior experience in paint repairs or related maintenance roles is preferred but not mandatory
