We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Truck Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong commitment to safety and efficiency while transporting clients across various routes. Wages to be discussed. Wage will increase with experience
This role requires a combination of mechanical knowledge and excellent communication skills to ensure our recoveries are untaken safely, customer service is paramount. Working on a 5 on, 3 off rota, hours to be discussed day and night positios available
Responsibilities
- Operate trucks safely and efficiently, adhering to all traffic laws and regulations.
- Conduct pre-trip inspections to ensure the vehicle is in good working condition.
- Load and unload vehicles, ensuring proper handling and securing of items, particularly for flatbed deliveries.
- Maintain accurate delivery logs and documentation for each trip using Apex.
- Communicate effectively with office staff, clients, and management regarding delivery schedules and any potential issues.
- Perform basic tasks road side, tyre changes, jump starts, some mechanical knowledge
- Ensure compliance with health and safety standards throughout all operations.
Experience
- Previous experience as a flatbed or van driver is highly desirable.
- Apex experience preferred
- Strong communication skills are necessary for effective interaction with team members and clients.
- A proactive approach to problem-solving and a commitment to delivering exceptional service are key attributes for success in this role.
