Join a team where your early years expertise makes a real difference supporting children with special educational needs.
Nursery Assistants & Early Years Teaching Assistants
September Start | £94–£100 per day
Are you an experienced Nursery Assistant or Early Years Teaching Assistant looking for a rewarding new opportunity this September? We are seeking caring, enthusiastic, and dedicated individuals to support children with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) in a range of educational settings.
Your early years experience provides an excellent foundation for working with children who need additional support. The skills you've developed in supporting speech, language and communication, encouraging learning through play, promoting early development, and building positive relationships are highly transferable and invaluable in SEND environments.
We're Looking For People Who:
- Have experience working as a Nursery Assistant, Early Years Teaching Assistant, or in a similar childcare or education role
- Have a strong understanding of child development and the importance of learning through play
- Can support children's speech, language and communication development through engaging activities and positive interactions
- Are confident adapting activities to meet individual learning, sensory and developmental needs
- Are patient, compassionate, and committed to helping every child reach their full potential
- Can build trusting relationships with children, families, and colleagues
- Enjoy working as part of a supportive team
- Have a proactive, flexible, and positive approach to supporting children's learning and development
Why Your Skills Matter:
Children with SEND benefit from adults who understand how young children learn and develop. Your experience using play-based learning, supporting speech and language development, encouraging social interaction, developing early literacy and numeracy skills, and creating structured, nurturing routines can have a significant impact on a child's progress. Whether you're helping a child communicate their needs, develop confidence through play, or achieve important developmental milestones, your skills can make a lasting difference.
What We Offer:
- £94–£100 per day, depending on experience
- September 2025 start
- Flexible opportunities to suit your availability
- Ongoing SEND training and professional development
- A supportive team that values your early years experience
- The opportunity to gain valuable experience within specialist and mainstream SEND settings
- The chance to make a meaningful difference in children's lives every day
Whether you're looking to take the next step in your career or transition into SEND education, we'd love to hear from you.
