About the Role
We are looking for a caring, reliable, and compassionate Companion Support Worker to join our team on a 5 hour-per-week fixed-term contract, with opportunities for additional hours as the service grows.
You will provide companionship and practical support to individuals in their own homes and within their local communities, helping to reduce loneliness and promote independence.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide companionship and emotional support.
- Accompany clients on walks, shopping trips, and community outings.
- Escort clients to appointments where required.
- Assist with light household tasks.
- Encourage independence and social engagement.
- Maintain accurate records and communicate effectively with the office.
- Always work in line with company policies and procedures.
What We're Looking For
- A caring, compassionate, and dependable individual.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- A full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle is desirable but not essential, provided you can reliably travel to clients.
- PVG Scheme membership, or willingness to join the scheme.
- Previous experience in care, support work, or companionship is desirable but not essential, as full training will be provided.
- The right to work in the UK.
