We are currently looking to recruit an experienced CNC Wood Machinist with drive and initiative to join our business due to its continued success and growth. At Rosebirch you will be working as part of a diverse team, working with the most modern – day materials and utilising top spec machinery from Biesse Rover CNC machine centre, edgebander, beam saw & classic woodworking machines to manufacture unique joinery components for long established clients in both the retail and commercial business sectors.
Required Skills and Experience
- Team Player with the ability to work alone and use own initiative with minimum supervision.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Previous experience with CNC equipment and controls.
- Ability to understand, interpret and work to technical drawings.
- An excellent health and safety work ethic.
- Good problem-solving skills.
- Punctual and reliable.
- Willingness to mentor, train and develop staff to support flexible working requirements.
Responsibilities
- Check and maintain machinery daily to ensure functionality.
- Prepare and operate CNC machines to perform required tasks.
- Load raw materials and parts on to the machine.
- Knowledge and experience in cutting a wide range of materials including solid surfaces, plywood, MFC, MDF and solid timbers.
- Understand technical drawings to complete material take off and setting out/programming of CNC machines.
- Provide technical support to other members of the team wherever necessary.
Preferred Qualifications
● Formal training or NVQ in Wood Machining or CNC Operation.
● Forklift licence (advantageous but not required).
Pay: £28,500.00-£46,500.00 per year
