The Role
Reporting directly to the Directors, you will take ownership of the day-to-day HR function, ensuring compliance with UK employment legislation while supporting managers and employees across the business.
Key Responsibilities
- Managing employee relations cases, including disciplinary, grievance, capability and absence management.
- Advising managers on UK employment law and HR best practice.
- Supporting recruitment, interviewing and onboarding of new employees.
- Maintaining employee records and HR documentation.
- Drafting contracts, letters and HR correspondence.
- Managing probation reviews and performance management processes.
- Supporting learning and development initiatives.
- Monitoring sickness absence and employee wellbeing.
- Ensuring company policies remain compliant and up to date.
- Supporting investigations and preparing documentation where required.
- Assisting with payroll-related administration where necessary.
- Helping develop a positive company culture and employee engagement.
About You
We’re looking for someone who is:
- Experienced in a standalone or generalist HR role.
- Confident handling complex employee relations matters.
- Up to date with UK employment legislation.
- Highly organised with excellent attention to detail.
- Professional, approachable and trustworthy.
- Comfortable working independently and managing their own workload.
- A confident communicator at all levels.
- CIPD Level 5 qualified (or working towards) is desirable but not essential with the right experience.

Pay: £18,000.00-£33,000.00 per year
