Yorkshire Trading Company is looking for a motivated and hands-on Goods In Shift Manager to join our Warehouse team in Driffield.
About the role.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone ready to take their first steps into warehouse leadership. You'll lead a team of approximately 10-20 operatives, ensuring stock is received, stored and replenished safely, accurately and efficiently. Working alongside the Warehouse Management team, you'll help drive productivity while maintaining high standards of safety and accuracy.
Key Responsibilities.
- Plan and delegate daily workloads to meet operational targets
- Ensure incoming stock is received, checked and booked in accurately
- Manage and coordinate the put-away of stock into our pick tower and high-bay racking.
- Oversee the replenishment of stock from high-bay racking
- Lead, support and motivate a team during your shift.
- Identify and implement practical improvements to efficiency.
- Work closely with other departments to ensure smooth operations
- Maintain a safe environment and ensure all procedures are followed.
What a typical day looks like:
- Allocate tasks based on workload and team strengths
- Stay active on the floor, supporting operations and resolving issues.
- Monitor progress against targets and adjust priorities as needed.
- Handle any team queries, performance issues or operational challenges.

Leadership experience is beneficial but not essential. If you have the right attitude, strong organisational skills and a willingness to learn, we'll provide the training and support yopu need to succeed.

Working Pattern
- 42.5 Hours per week
- 4 weeks 06.00 - 15.00
- 1 week 10.00 - 19.00
- Weekend working on a rota basis.
