Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled Forklift Driver to join our warehouse team. The successful candidate will be responsible for safely operating forklifts to load, unload, and organise materials within our facility. This role requires a strong understanding of warehouse operations, mechanical aptitude, and the ability to handle heavy loads efficiently. The ideal applicant will have previous warehouse experience and be familiar with warehouse management systems, ensuring smooth logistics and inventory control.

Responsibilities
- Operate forklift equipment safely and efficiently in accordance with health and safety regulations
- Load and unload goods from lorries and containers with precision
- Organise and store materials in designated areas within the warehouse
- Assist with inventory management using warehouse management systems
- Perform basic equipment repairs or report faults to maintenance teams
- Handle materials carefully, ensuring minimal damage during transportation and storage
- Maintain accurate records of stock movements and storage locations
- Support shipping and receiving processes, including documentation and verification of goods
- Conduct routine safety checks on forklift machinery and other equipment
Experience
- Proven experience operating forklift trucks in a busy warehouse environment
- Familiarity with warehouse management systems (WMS) is highly desirable
- Mechanical knowledge or basic equipment repair skills are advantageous
- Experience in materials handling, shipping & receiving, and inventory control
- Ability to perform basic maths for stock counting and measurement tasks
- Physical capability for heavy lifting and extended periods of standing or walking within the warehouse setting
- Previous experience working in a fast-paced logistics environment is preferred
