Project Engineer - Temporary Site Services (Old Oak Common)
Join one of the UK's most significant infrastructure projects.
Balfour Beatty is looking for a Project Engineer to support the delivery of Temporary Site Services at Old Oak Common Station, a major part of the HS2 programme.
Working alongside the Project Manager, you'll help coordinate electrical systems works, manage subcontractors, monitor progress, and ensure works are delivered safely, on time, and to the highest quality standards.
What you'll be doing
- Supporting the delivery of Temporary Site Services and electrical systems works.
- Coordinating labour, plant, materials, and subcontractors.
- Monitoring project progress and maintaining accurate records.
- Producing and reviewing short-term programmes and work schedules.
- Driving safe systems of work and promoting a positive safety culture.
- Supporting quality, environmental, and performance requirements.
- Managing site logistics and helping achieve key project milestones.
- Working closely with commercial and operational teams to identify risks and opportunities.
Who we're looking for
Essential:
- Experience in a Project Engineer, Site Engineer, Package Engineer, or similar role.
- Experience within construction, infrastructure, utilities, rail, or major projects.
- Strong organisational, planning, and communication skills.
- Knowledge of health, safety, environmental, and quality requirements.
- Ability to manage multiple stakeholders and subcontractors.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and project reporting systems.
Desirable:
- Experience on large infrastructure or rail projects.
- Knowledge of temporary works, site services, or electrical systems.
- Understanding of project planning, risk management, and commercial processes.
