Overview
We are seeking compassionate and dedicated Support Workers to join our team working with individuals with Learning Disabilities. The ideal candidates will provide essential support to individuals in need, ensuring their well-being and enhancing their quality of life. This role involves working closely with clients who have a Learning Disability in our Respite, to assist with daily activities and personal care.
Responsibilities
- Provide care and support to individuals with varying needs, ensuring their comfort and safety.
- Prepare meals according to dietary requirements and preferences, promoting healthy eating habits.
- Administer medication as prescribed, ensuring adherence to medical guidelines and protocols.
- Engage in behaviour management strategies to support clients in maintaining positive behaviours.
- Maintain accurate records of client care and report any changes in behaviour or health to the relevant professionals.
- Provide support with PEG feeding.
Experience
- Previous experience in a similar role within healthcare settings is preferred.
- Strong understanding of care principles and practices.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to build rapport with clients and their families.
- Compassionate nature with a commitment to providing high-quality care.
- Relevant qualifications in healthcare or social care are advantageous.
