Job Summary
We are seeking a friendly and efficient Bar Team Member to join our hospitality team across four pubs, centred in Hayle, Cornwall. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing service, ensuring a welcoming atmosphere, and maintaining high standards of safety and cleanliness. Pay is £14.35 per hour, including factored holiday pay in your wages.
Flexible hours and shift patterns easily accommodation. Applicant should have previous experience working in a bar.
Applicant must be 18+ due to the serving of alcohol.
Duties
- Prepare and serve drinks, and assist customers with their orders
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the bar area, ensuring compliance with food safety regulations
- Check identification to verify legal drinking age and adhere to licensing laws
- Handle cash transactions accurately using the till system
- Restock bar supplies as needed and manage stock levels efficiently
- Engage with customers to create a welcoming atmosphere
- Follow health and safety procedures diligently, including proper handling of glassware and equipment
Requirements
- Previous experience in hospitality or restaurant service is desirable
- Knowledge of food safety standards and responsible alcohol service is advantageous
- Strong organisational skills with excellent time management abilities
- Basic maths skills for handling transactions accurately
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure during busy hours
- Friendly, approachable manner with excellent communication skills
- Flexibility to work shifts, including evenings and weekends as required
- A positive attitude and willingness to learn new skills
