Duties
- Prepare and serve a variety of alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages in accordance with company standards.
- Greet guests warmly, take orders accurately, and provide recommendations when requested.
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the bar area, ensuring compliance with food safety regulations.
- Check identification to verify legal drinking age and promote responsible alcohol service.
- Manage cash register operations, process payments efficiently, and handle transactions accurately.
- Restock bar supplies as needed, including glassware, garnishes, and beverages.
- Monitor guest behaviour to ensure a safe environment for all patrons.
- Collaborate with team members to deliver excellent customer experiences during busy periods.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in hospitality or food service is preferred, especially within a restaurant or bar setting.
- Knowledge of food safety standards and responsible alcohol service.
- Strong serving skills with the ability to engage positively with guests.
- Basic maths skills for handling cash transactions accurately.
- Excellent time management skills to prioritise tasks effectively during busy shifts.
- A personable attitude with strong communication skills and the ability to work well within a team.
