Overview
We are seeking a skilled Design Engineer to join our engineering team. The successful candidate will play a key role in designing and developing high-quality conveyor systems and products. Strong attention to precision and efficiency utilising CAD software and engineering principles. This role offers an excellent opportunity for individuals with a strong background in Design to develop their skills within a dynamic environment.
Duties
- Develop detailed designs and specifications for conveyor systems using CAD software such as SolidWorks and Autocad
- Conduct root cause analysis to identify issues within existing systems and propose effective solutions.
- Produce models/drawings to meet customer requirements, while adhering to any relevant standards.
- Producing any manuals or documentation required.
- Obtaining quotes and ordering of all required parts needed within required time scales.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop innovative solutions that meet project requirements.
- Support the realisation of projects from concept through prototyping to final implementation, ensuring adherence to safety standards.
Requirements
- Proven experience with CAD software such as SolidWorks and CAD drafting techniques at least 4 years experience.
- Strong knowledge of mechanical principles, system design.
- Ability to capture and specify the design requirements.
- Identify solutions to improve production efficiency.
- Ability to perform root cause analysis effectively within conveyor systems.
- Conveyor knowledge relevant to product development or industrial applications is highly desirable.
- Maintain existing engineering records and designs.
- Improve existing products and processes.
- Driving Licence.

Pay: £30,000.00-£40,000.00 per year
